ICO₂NIC was proud to be represented at the 3rd Global CemCCUS Conference in Hamburg, Germany (9–10 June 2026), where over 100 delegates gathered to discuss the latest developments in Carbon Capture, Utilisation and Storage for the cement and lime industries.
Andrew Corner, CEO of consortium partner Cool Planet Technologies (CPT), presented the ICO₂NIC project during his talk, “Cutting the Cost of Carbon Capture for Industry Using Advanced Membrane Technology”. The presentation highlighted how advanced membrane technology can help reduce the cost, energy demand and complexity of industrial carbon capture.
As the provider of ICO₂NIC’s membrane-based carbon capture technology, CPT plays a key role in the project. Its system will be deployed at Holcim Germany’s cement plant in Höver to capture and purify CO₂, supplying the specification-grade carbon dioxide needed for the project’s downstream utilisation pathways.
With participants from more than 30 countries, Global CemCCUS provided an excellent opportunity to showcase ICO₂NIC’s innovative approach to capturing and utilising industrial CO₂ emissions as a valuable resource.
