Holcim Publishes New Resources on ICO₂NIC’s Membrane-Based CO₂ Capture

From carbon capture to carbon utilisation: how can unavoidable CO₂ emissions become a resource for new industrial value chains?

Within the ICO₂NIC project, partners are working across the entire value chain to demonstrate how captured CO₂ can be transformed into valuable products. One key step is the development of membrane-based separation technologies that enable efficient CO₂ capture and provide high-purity carbon for further conversion into formic acid, microbial oils and proteins.

To support knowledge sharing, consortium partner Holcim has published a set of resources explaining the membrane separation process, its application at the Höver cement plant and its connection to the ICO₂NIC project.

If you’re interested in Carbon Capture and Utilisation or industrial decarbonisation, these materials offer an accessible introduction to one of the technologies helping shape circular carbon value chains.
