As the Project Coordinator in ICO₂NIC, SINTEF plays a central role in guiding the project forward – responsible for overall coordination, including management, scheduling, and financial oversight. SINTEF contributes significantly to the technical foundation of the project by capturing site and product requirements, evaluating HSE aspects, and consolidating key data to ensure consistency across tasks. Based on technology data & insights from consortium partners, SINTEF leads the process design, modelling and techno-economic assessment (TEA) of the ICO₂NIC demonstrator, enabling economic and technical decision-making towards a First-Of-A-Kind (FOAK) industrial-scale plant to be built by 2035.
