In ICO₂NIC, microbial oils produced from industrial CO₂-derived formic acid will be scaled to 1,500 L fermenters, providing pilot-scale quantities for conversion into sustainable aviation fuel.
Operating four refineries in Turkey with a total crude oil capacity of 30 mtpa, Tüpraş is committed to carbon neutrality by 2050. The company is in the process of constructing a new SAF production unit in Izmir Refinery, aiming for a capacity of 400 kton/year and a 75% SAF yield to maintain its leading position in the market by 2035.
