The ICO2NIC consortium started 2026 by coming together in Amsterdam for a special milestone: celebrating one year of progress in our 4-year EU-funded project.
All partners met in person, kindly hosted by Avantium, to reflect on how far we’ve come and align on what lies ahead. The meeting combined strong technical momentum — with updates on technology development across the value chain and key horizontal activities — and strategic reflection on the project’s direction.
Highlights included the Avantium lab tour, where partners got a firsthand look at their cutting-edge CO₂ conversion technology, and an interactive workshop designed to raise the right questions around scaling, sustainability, and exploitation, helping to shape the path toward real-world impact.
