The ICO₂NIC project is entering an exciting new phase: Holcim joins the consortium to host our carbon capture demonstrator at its cement plant in Höver, Lower Saxony in Germany, giving us the opportunity to test and showcase our technology in a real industrial environment.
This expansion, alongside our business case in the refinery sector, allows ICO2NIC to increase cross-sector impact, turning captured CO₂ into formic acid and then into microbial oils and proteins for sustainable fuels, cosmetics, surfactants, and fish feed — closing the loop from emissions to valuable products.
As we advance our technical planning and industrial reach, ICO₂NIC continues to drive innovative, scalable solutions for a climate-neutral Europe.
